Solar energy has changed our living style, making it more suitable and reliable. Moreover, these energy solutions have always proven to ease the lives of commercial, industrial and local sectors. Initially, energy was generated by burning down a massive amount of fossils fuels. But with the passage of time, the energy production systems have become more innovative, cleaner and affordable at the same time.

Solar energy systems are of various types. Each type has its own pros and cons.

1.    Concentrated Solar Energy Systems

The solar systems used in large-scale installations and provide electricity to the grid are called concentrated solar energy systems. Such systems are more suitable for nations where the sun shines with its maximum potential. Though these solar systems are manufactured to be operated on a large scale projects, but they are not as reliable and referable as the Photovoltaic Solar Energy Systems.

2.    Photovoltaic Solar Energy Systems

The technology used in these solar systems enables them to convert sunlight directly into electricity. Also, it is the type of solar system usually most preferred by large-scale industries. The panels used in the construction of these systems are made up of semiconductor cells. These cells produce a direct current which transforms it into an alternating current through an inverter.

3.    Water Heating Solar Systems

In early ages, heat was used in a natural way to heat water. First, the whole tank containing water was painted black, as we are all aware that black absorbs heat rapidly. Then, following the technique, the absorbed warmth heated the water inside the tank. The heat produced by these panels is proportionate to the sun. Hence, such systems have a significant drawback that the states with higher temperatures are a perfect place for the usage of water heating solar systems.

Conclusion

Most of the energy we use comes from renewable energy resources; one of them is the energy generated from the sun. Solar energy technology can efficiently generate clean, sustainable energy without causing any harm to the planet and the environment. Solar energy hits the electrons lost from their atoms, making them drift through the semiconductor material and produce the required amount of energy and electricity. With its multiple applications across industries such as self-consumption, peak shaving, and energy arbitrage, energy storage enables an uninterrupted power supply for enhanced power distribution.
