With the increase in global warming, our environment is deteriorating rapidly. To minimize these impacts, this modern era needs to shift towards renewable energy sources. Governments are working to increase their production through renewable projects all over the world. There are various methods of producing electricity among them few are mentioned below.
Hydro
Hydro method of producing renewable energy is the biggest contribution in the making of green energy all over the world; it almost contributes around 50 percent of renewable energy. This method simply uses the high flow of water to play the turbine rotor, which respectively drives the generator. The more the water stream, the heavy the generation will be. For huge projects, Dams are built over rivers to produce electricity. This process is expensive in cost but produces heavy generation.
Nuclear
Nuclear energy is also one of the biggest contributors to renewable energy. It uses nuclear reactors to produce steam which further drives steam turbines. Nuclear reactors have a long life. Therefore, it does not need fuel expense for a long time; all it needs is maintenance cost, and it successfully produces green energy.
Wind Energy
Wind energy produces electricity through wind, enabling the turbine to spin and generate electricity. This kind of energy is clean and does not need any fuel to drive its generator. Wind projects can be of huge capacity depending on the size of wind turbines. Previously it was considered to be a small production method, but now many big companies/turbine manufacturers are working and producing great turbines and taking this way of production to a huge limit.
Solar Energy Solar energy production is one of the finest methods, and its cost is very low compared to other green energy sources. It uses sunlight to produce electricity. Governments all around the world are making solar parks to produce electricity through this method. This method can be used individually by the customers by installing the system at their homes, workplaces, etc.
